and the Fresh Food People of Seattle gather

And once again, dear friends, I'm back with more pictures! (Wow, one week has passed that quickly???)

We imagine this foreign land of the US to offer a stunning array of the freshest and finest in strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes, and the like. I am pleased to report that they do not disappoint.

Be forewarned that the prices, however, do need to be waved off and dismissed as inconsequential when shopping here at Pike Place Market. This place is located in Downtown Seattle, a nice bustling bazaar-like (or, if you will, pasar-malam-like) atmosphere that complements the rest of Downtown and the busy working crowd jostling to get home before it gets too cold and dark out at night!

Do check out how prices over in Seattle compare with those back home in Singapore. Considering how prices in general are rather steep over here (and there's 8.8% tax on some items top of that), some Singaporeans have reached the point of commenting that they'll have to resort to "eating grass" (spoken in Mandarin - "chi1 cao3") for the next couple of months. Unfortunately, based on the prices of veggies in the featured photos today, the future does not bode well for them: even "grass" is not as cheap as they hope for it to be...!

Thanks for being such a wonderful audience, and for being regular visitors. You make my sharing worth it! Have a great week ahead yea!

Next update (Sg time) : Sun, 11 Feb 2007, noon onwards.
